Columbus Marathon Oct 18 – 19

Fall events continue this weekend, with major sporting events taking place in and around the Arena District. Please share the details below with your teams for planning purposes.

Columbus Marathon and ½ Marathon Weekend | October 18 & 19

The 2025 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon events take place Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19 throughout downtown Columbus. To accommodate the set-up and 12,000+ athletes, there are planned road closures in and around the Arena District beginning Friday, including Long St., Spring St., and Neil Ave.

Saturday, October 18

• Jesse Owens 5K and 1 Mile run/walk: 9:00 a.m. at North Bank Park
• Kids’ Run: 11:00 a.m. at McFerson Commons
• Columbus Crew: 6:00 p.m. at Lower.com Field
• Columbus Blue Jackets: 7:00 p.m. at Nationwide Arena
• Jady concert: 7:00 p.m. at KEMBA Live!

Traffic note:

• The turn lanes on Long St. to Neil Ave. will reopen from 4:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Saturday for Blue Jackets and Crew game traffic.
• Spring St. westbound from Neil Ave. will reopen from 10:00 p.m. to Midnight on Saturday for post-game traffic.

Sunday, October 19

The Marathon & ½ Marathon race events begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Neil Ave. and Long St. at North Bank Park. The finish line is also in this same location.

Arena District parking garages will remain open and accessible. Sunny Street Café will be open at 5:30 a.m. Sunday for spectators to enjoy coffee and breakfast while cheering on participants!
