Trainer Spotlight – Sarah Nashar
I have been involved with fitness in some shape or form my whole life. Whether it was playing soccer and tennis as a kid, or teaching Spinning classes at Michigan State, I have always loved being active! Four years ago I began competing in triathlons and found them to be a great outlet for my excess energy and competitive spirit.
Unfortunately last year after my fourth knee surgery I was told I should no longer run. Although I was initially frustrated, not running has actually been a huge blessing in disguise! It forced me to overhaul my workout routine and become stronger and more focused. I see now that recovering from each knee surgery has motivated growth and change in me, and ultimately has helped me transition into a career as a full-time fitness professional. I am now finding great fulfillment helping others on their fitness journeys.
I truly love the high energy atmosphere teaching group fitness and spinning classes. I also love helping clients overcome barriers and reach their health and weight loss goals
Outside of my fitness career I have been married to my wonderful husband Paul for two years. Together we enjoy skiing, bike riding, tennis, and cooking. I have lived in Columbus for three and a half years, and currently live in German Village. I am excited to be a part of the ADAC staff!
