Bridal Boot Camp – Day 6

Day 6 – July 11

I’m currently in Hilton Head, SC enjoying my Bachelorette Party weekend. When I get back I may share some of my pictures … if you are lucky.

Here is a safe picture showing where I am right now. Be jealous.

Even though I’m on vacation, I have not forgotten my mission. Especially the part about making sure that I am hotter than my groom on our wedding.

He and I visited here a few summers ago and went paddle boarding with H2O Sports in Harbor Town. Ironically, we also plan on going paddle boarding on the lake in Evergreen during our wedding weekend. This is one think that I keeps reminding me how I need to stick with the program at the Arena District Athletic Club. Because when I get on that SUP Board next to my super buff fiancé, I want to know that I look good.

This is Chris and I in Hilton Head a few years ago. I want to look way better than him next time we go paddle boarding.

So I decided to go ahead and lay out my baseline fitness. I got on Pinterest and looked up some fitness tests. I did one that asked me how many excercises I could complete in a minute. Here are my results for your entertainment and delight.

How many can you do in a minute:
Jumping Jacks – 45
Sit ups – 20
Push ups – 15 (don’t judge me. Just be glad I did real, bon-a-fide man push ups, not lady push ups)
How long can you hold a:
Plank – 30 seconds (I need more core muscles it seems)
Wall sit – 30 seconds (Haven’t done these since high school. Ouch)

Weight – 132 lbs.
Height – 5’6”
BMI – 21.2

I'm well within a healthy range. I just want to be more toned and defined. Maybe I also would like to be able to do a pull up one day... Maybe.

So there you have it my fitness baseline. It can only go up from here.
